IT IS CALLED THE MOST IMPORTANT IMAGE HUMANITY HAS EVER TAKEN.

In 1995 the Hubble Space telescope was pointed at a small region in the constellation Ursa Major where no stars could be seen even with telescopes. It was dark and empty. The idea was to look as far out into the universe as possible, where nothing would block our view. Few areas void of stars exist in the night sky, this spot was only 2.5 arcminutes across (2/1,000,000’ths of the whole sky). For 10 days, 342 separate exposures were taken to gather enough light for the photo below.

What you see are not stars. Every small spec of light in the photo and its background is a galaxy. More than 1 million in the photo and up to 500 billion galaxies in the universe. It is a incredible demonstration of the power, glory and majesty of God.
